Yesterday, Apple unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, which are some powered by the caller A20 Pro chip. As usual, the institution has praised its latest and top SoC for being amended than each of its predecessors, but however does it really execute successful a benchmark? Thankfully, we person a preliminary reply for that today, since 2 caller iPhones identifying themselves arsenic the iPhone 19,2 and iPhone 19,3 person conscionable tally Geekbench 6.7.
Their single-core scores are 4,719 and 4,612, respectively, portion their multi-core scores are 12,677 and 11,819, respectively. If we mean the single-core scores we get astir 4,665, portion for the multi-core scores we get astir 12,248. Compared to an mean of the erstwhile procreation iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, the caller results correspond a 21-23% betterment successful some single-core and multi-core performance. That's decidedly solid, particularly considering that the A20 Pro is built connected a much power-efficient 2nm process too.

The A20 Pro's CPU frequence goes up to 4.93GHz, and unsurprisingly the caller iPhones some person 12GB of RAM. They of people tally iOS 27, which is due to beryllium released connected Monday, September 14.
The upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9600 has managed a single-core people of 4,139 and a multi-core people of 13,285 successful Geekbench, which puts it somewhat up of the A20 Pro successful the latter, but mode down successful the former. All of these results should beryllium taken with a gigantic dose of salt, however, since they are each achieved by prototype devices.

There are results floating retired determination for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 SoC too, but they're either connected a antithetic mentation of Geekbench oregon evidently excessively debased to beryllium taken seriously. So beryllium cautious erstwhile evaluating chaotic claims similar "A20 Pro smokes the Android competition" oregon immoderate specified stuff. Everything volition go clearer erstwhile the Dimensity 9600 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 get authoritative aboriginal this month.
