Last period we learned that WhatsApp started testing a greenish dot connected Android to bespeak that a interaction is online. The Meta-owned institution has present started investigating this diagnostic connected iOS arsenic well.
This revelation comes from the folks astatine WABetaInfo, who discovered the improvement connected beta mentation 26.26.10.72 of WhatsApp for iOS.
If you are a WhatsApp beta idiosyncratic connected iOS with the latest mentation of the app installed, you'll spot a tiny greenish ellipse astatine the bottom-right of a contact's photograph successful the "Contact info" surface erstwhile the interaction is online. This works successful real-time, truthful the greenish ellipse volition vanish erstwhile the interaction is nary longer online.
WABetaInfo reports that the "Contact info" screen, opened by tapping a contact's photo, is the lone spot the greenish dot is displayed for now. In our opinion, it would person been much utile if WhatsApp displayed it successful the chats database and Chats tab.
It's besides worthy noting that WhatsApp applies the aforesaid privateness rules to the greenish dot arsenic it does to past seen and online status, meaning that if a idiosyncratic has chosen to fell their past seen and online presumption from others, the greenish dot won't beryllium disposable either.
This greenish dot online presumption indicator diagnostic is presently lone disposable to immoderate beta users connected some Android and iOS, and it's unclear erstwhile WhatsApp volition merchandise it publically for each users.
