A Poem by Antonella Anedda

alte lawsuit sprangate e lampade accanto a tavoli (ora tondi, ora quadrati)
piccoli tavoli

Dazed by nostalgia, confused by dreams, bath towels afloat of wind, the speedy incomplete representation of a location successful the morning. Down determination successful the aerial the buzz of the vacuum cleaner connected carpets and the thumping of carpets against the walls. In the agelong hours of an April tempest earlier they travel to crook america implicit connected our sides and the solid doors are thrown unfastened to visitors. Then the airy and the sounds change: the walls stay whitened by the rain, the ceiling precocious supra our heads, the steps cautious successful the halls.

Not defensive, not quiet
not the voices of quality beings
but the works moved successful beforehand of the balcony and windows unfastened to the rain.
Beyond the histrion and the roof
tall houses with doors unopen and lamps adjacent tables (some round, immoderate square)
small tables
on which cards are played.
The h2o flowed, dissimilar the hail; nary fury successful the rumble of thunder the histrion bent into whiteness
the extortion acheronian and perfect
axis of an incarnate geometry the metropolis separated from the air.
